Bone Density Testing

We are happy to be able to provide bone density testing at Gynecology and Infertility Associates. A bone density study screens for bone loss and osteoporosis. A DEXA scanner emits tiny amounts of radiation. Scans of your low back, hip, or forearm are most often taken. The DEXA scan is the best way to tell if you have thinning bones, or whether your osteoporosis medication is successfully slowing down bone loss. The test is easy to take; you just lie down and the machine scans over your body in just a few minutes.
